Vela outfits sailors who treat the water as a profession, not a backdrop. Our oilskins are cut in Devon and lined with wool from the Falklands. Our foul-weather trousers are still sewn, by hand, on the same bench they've used since 1962. Nothing about this is fast — and nothing about it is meant to be.
